An Audience with Ellen arrives at BT Centre

I’d just like to say a big thanks to all of you who have come to my talks in Brighton, Dover and Greenwich. It has been great fun meeting everybody!

This evening I will be speaking at BT Centre in London, kindly hosted by BT, and I was delighted to hear that tickets have almost sold out! There may still be a few left however so log on to www.roundbritain.org for more details or to find out about other venues I will be speaking at along the way.

A busy day in Brighton

A big, big thanks to everyone who came along to hear me talk in Brighton yesterday evening. I’ve been really overwhelmed by your kind comments and support and interest in the Ellen MacArthur Trust Skandia Round Britain trip - we’re glad that you think it is as exciting as we do!

In the afternoon, the Scarlet Oyster crew came with me to visit the Musto store in Brighton with me - Musto have been fantastic and are kindly providing all the clothing for our Round Britain trip. At the store, we were interviewed by a schoolgirl called Carla who had won a competition in a local newspaper. One of Carla’s questions was “Are you all friends onboard?” - we were all quite relieved that Joseph answered that with a resounding “Yes!”.

The next stop for the Ellen MacArthur Trust Skandia Round Britain trip is Dover - weather permitting, Scarlet Oyster should be arriving in Dover Marina on Friday 10th June and I will be speaking at The Ark in Dover at 1430 on Saturday.

So for now, thanks Brighton ….and Dover here we come!

See you in Brighton!

After the excitement of the fantastic start of the Ellen MacArthur Trust Skandia Round Britain Voyage of Discovery from Cowes on Sunday, I am really looking forward to tomorrow. Not only will I be visiting the Musto store in Market Street in Brighton between 3 and 4.30 p.m., but I will also be giving my first public speech for ages at the Brighton Hilton Metropole at 6.30 p.m.. Apparently loads of you have already bought tickets - thank you! - but there are still a few left, so visit

for further details. And if you can’t make this talk, hope to see you somewhere else en route!

We’re (almost) off!

If you are in Cowes on the Isle of Wight tomorrow, look out for Scarlet Oyster which will be passing in front of the Royal Yacht Squadron at about 5 p.m.. I’m really over the moon to be joining the five young people onboard - Harriet, Joseph, Jack, Rachel and Chloë - for the first leg of the Ellen MacArthur Trust Skandia Round Britain Voyage of Discovery. Scotland, here we come!  To follow the trip, visit www.roundbritain.org
